Tribosonics joins Industry Advisory Board of the AMRC Training Centre
We are delighted to announce that Tribosonics has joined the AMRC Training Centre’s Industry Advisory Board. The appointment of Mark Wallace to the Board strengthens the long-term partnership between Tribosonics and the AMRC Training Centre.
Mark Wallace, Tribosonics’ Chief Operating Officer, expressed “Our partnership with the AMRC Training Centre enables a core component of our Future Leaders Programme. Joining the Industry Advisory Board represents an opportunity to work at a strategic level with the Training Centre and further the development of talent in the Sheffield City Region.”
The Tribosonics’ Future Leaders Programme is a Manufacturing Apprenticeship scheme growing and equipping young talent in the Sheffield City Region for industrial leadership roles; in engineering, production, commercial and strategic functions. The Future Leaders Programme commences with the formal practical element; an initial nine month block delivered by experienced trainers at the AMRC Training Centre. The formal academic aspect of the Programme, also delivered within the Training Centre, deepens Tribosonics’ Future Leaders’ theoretical knowledge and technical understanding.
Tribosonics CEO, Glenn Fletcher, explains “by promoting Manufacturing Apprenticeship Schemes within the region and beyond, Tribosonics believes the outcome of the training we deliver in conjunction with the AMRC Training Centre can have an impact much wider than that experienced directly by Tribosonics.”
The Industry Advisory Board have been able to continue meeting despite current restrictions by holding meetings online. In the remote meeting held on the 9 th June, the AMRC Training Centre outlined how staff and students alike have adapted remarkably to recent challenges. Anne Griggs, Head of Business Development and Contracts at the Training Centre, adds “Partnerships such as this are vital to ensuring that Apprentice training remains current and relevant. In this role Mark plays an active part in ensuring the AMRC Training Centre curriculum intent is attune to emerging needs.”
Tribosonics joins the board alongside local industry leaders including Boeing, Polypipe, Wavin, AESSEAL and Stanley Black & Decker.
