Mondelēz International are looking for a Multi-skilled maintenance apprentice to complete a Level 3 mechatronics maintenance apprenticeship. The candidate will become part of a positive team who will help the candidate to develop their skills on the job by sharing knowledge, experience and technical abilities, coupled with recognised qualifications and a high-performing international business; The candidate will be a highly skilled individual with a bright future ahead of them. This is a role that will support the confectionary manufacturing site in Sheffield. Successful candidates will set out on a 4-year journey that will lead to being a qualified, trained and highly skilled Engineering Technician. The apprentice will become part of a positive team who will help the apprentice to develop their skills on the job by sharing knowledge, experience and technical abilities, coupled with recognised qualifications and a high-performing international business. Role & responsibilities:
The candidate will be trained in the theoretical and practical aspects of maintenance, relating to the processing and packaging equipment used on site. This may include:
- Mechanical systems
- Electrical and process control systems
- PLC software applications
- Electro-mechanical design and solutions
- Electrical wiring, testing and installation
- Pneumatic systems
- Process instrumentation
Skills required:
- Have excellent analytical skills and enjoy problem solving with a logical and structured approach
- Have the ability to problem solve and work effectively within a team environment
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Personal qualities the candidate must have:
- Excellent timekeeping and attendance
- Be flexible around work patterns including shifts (normally from Year 3 onwards)
- Demonstrate passion, drive and commitment to complete a 4 year apprenticeship with genuine interest in Engineering

Things to consider:
During the first year you will be required to attend the University of Sheffield AMRC Training Centre in Sheffield, full time for an initial block of study. You will return to your workplace one Friday per month. After the initial block training you will attend the AMRC Training Centre for one day a week to undertake the knowledge study. The remaining four days will be spent in company learning on the job.

Advanced Apprenticeships entry requirements
You will need both of the following:
- GCSE English language C or 4 or above
- GCSE Maths C or 4 or above.
Applicants are also required to successfully complete a series of assessments at the University of Sheffield’s AMRC Training Centre, as well as an employer recruitment and selection process to secure a place on an apprenticeship programme.
